Congratulations to our U16 Toki Girls who came away with a silver medal at the New Zealand Water Polo U16 National Division One Championships held in Chrischurch in July. 

After a slowish start to the season and a 5th place in the Auckland league our U16 Toki Girls peaked at the right time and had a fantastic nationals. Pool games were tight all the way through including a challenging win over Tauranga, a very close one goal win v Marist (scoring the key goal with 4 secs left!), and a one goal loss v North Harbour. Our pool results put us into the semis against the unbeaten Atlantis Tridents, where the Mountfort girls played a complete game winning 6 -3. Onto the final where at a packed and pumping Jellie Park pool, after being pushed all the way, a deserved Sea Wolves took out the title.  

Silver was an outstanding result and our girls did the club and themselves proud. A massive thank you to coaches Kurt, Charlie, and Jessica, manager Cilla, and to all the parents for the poolside support.
