Mountfort Park Water Polo Club History

Mountfort Park Waterpolo Club was established in June 2005 by Terry and Jane Logan, just before our home base, Manurewa Aquatic Centre was opened.

Locals interested in the sport had waited for years for this opportunity and when it finally came a small group got together, forming a committee to make sure the sport took root and grew.

The then Manukau City Council's pool policy has been very helpful in keeping our costs to a minimum. In addition, the club organizes a Social League and Intermediate School League competitions, an annual U12 Tournament and gives help to some schools interested in developing this sport.
